The fitness center is a 2,000 square foot facility located in the basement of the Morse Event Center and is complete with Precor cardio equipment, Cybex weight training machines, and numerous free weights and benches. The fitness center is open seven days a week and contains four flat screen cable televisions and sound system and is available to all NCU students. The Morse Event Center also boasts a full court gym used for intramural basketball, volleyball, and other campus-sponsored events. In case of medical emergency during participation in the gym or fitness center, NCU employs a full-time certified athletic trainer to evaluate and care for musculoskeletal injuries.

Northwest Christian University offers free confidential counseling services to help support our students’ wellness needs. Mental health counseling services are available to all NCU students. Sessions are provided by graduate students working towards a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Counselors work under the supervision of clinically experienced faculty.

Northwest Christian University does not provide health insurance coverage.?Undergraduates enrolled in 12 or more credit hours are required to provide proof of insurance in order to attend NCU; however, it is up to the student to find a health insurance provider.
Oregon law requires students born on or after January 1, 1957 who are enrolled in 9 or more credit hours at Northwest Christian University to provide proof of two measles vaccines or meet one of the legal exemptions. Adequate proof is written documentation of the month and year of each dose of the measles. In accordance with Oregon law, the Office of Student Life collects and reviews submitted immunization documentation. You can download and use the Immunization Form below and review the Immunization Policy as well. The Office of the Registrar will be notified of students who are not in compliance with Oregon law. Registration to attend classes will not be permitted for students who fail to complete their documentation.
